What does Gather & Reel do?
- Gather & Reel is an AI-native advertising agency based in Invercargill, New Zealand. We handle strategy and media buying, search and AI visibility including ChatGPT Ads, sonic identity through Triggerhappy Audio, and social. We work with clients across New Zealand and Australia.
Where are you based and who do you work with?
- Our studio is at 214 Yarrow Street, Invercargill. We work with businesses throughout Southland and the rest of New Zealand, as well as clients in Australia. Most work is run remotely with on-site production where it is needed.
Do you take commission on media placement?
- No. Gather & Reel never takes a cut for placing media. You pay us for the work we do, and you see exactly what every channel costs. It means our channel recommendations are not influenced by what pays us the most.
What are ChatGPT Ads and can you manage them?
- ChatGPT Ads place advertising inside AI assistant conversations, where a growing share of buying research now happens. We manage them end to end — strategy, account setup, creative, conversion tracking and ongoing optimisation — for New Zealand and Australian businesses.
What does a free media spend review involve?
- You tell us what you currently spend per channel each month and what you are trying to achieve. We come back with an honest read of where that money is working, where it is not, and what we would change. There is no cost and no obligation.
What does AI-native production actually mean?
- It means AI is built into how we work rather than bolted on: research, concepting, drafting, versioning and analysis. A small senior team can therefore deliver at the volume of a much bigger agency, and your budget goes into the work that audiences see.
How much does it cost to work with you?
- Projects are quoted on scope, and retainers are quoted on the work involved rather than a percentage of your media spend. The fastest way to get a number is a free spend review — tell us your current monthly spend per channel and we will come back with what we would do and what it costs.
Do you make jingles and radio commercials?
- Yes. Triggerhappy Audio is our in-house studio, producing original jingles, sonic logos, radio commercials and voiceover for New Zealand brands including Invercargill Central, ILT, Southern Pet Food and Clearaway.
